Strattera Dosing Chartbased by weight and dosage factor This is my supplement to the chart provided by Lilly. The FDA guidelines have recommended 1.2 mg/kg/day up to 80 mg, and then max after a month to 100mg. The FDA does not recommend dosages above 100 mg. For Adults, FDA Dosing Guide is Start at 40mg, Target at 80mg, Maximum 100 mg.
*Up to 62 pounds **Up to 93 pounds ***Above 126 pounds Starting Dose for 4 days, then target dosage. After 1 month raise to maximum dosage.
These appear to be very conservative guidelines, especially since the poor metabolizers received the best results across the board. Clinical trials went to 1.8 mg/kg/day. There did not seem to be significant differences at the higher dosage compared to the 1.2 mg/kg/day rate. Prozac and Paxil inhibit the metabolism of Strattera. Thus it is probably best to use .5 mg/kg/day if on Prozac or Paxil, then increase slowly after 1 month. Provided for comparison purposes only by John Swank, Swank Counseling.
